I love humans!

I took the boys to breakfast at Village Inn last Friday cuz they were sad that I was going to Chicago for the weekend.

They LOVE playing the "claw machine" so I gave them a dollar so they could each have ONE turn. Neither of them got anything, which is fine... they are such good boys that they never get upset when they don't get anything cuz they do "positive thinking."

Well, I guess an older couple was pretty impressed with my amazing little men that didn't whine because they took it upon themselves to play the claw machine until they won 2 "stuffly" animals and came over to our table to give them to us.

The Boat

Our second time out on the boat this season was pure AWESOME! Aunt Sarah and Ginger were in town and joined Papa, the boys & me for some fun in the sun ~

Tyler was very busy training for the ToughMan Competition as well as building... well, we're not sure what he was building exactly, but it looked pretty scary!

And as would be expected, in the midst of all his toughness he found a few minutes to remind us of what a loving humanitarian he really is... He found an "injured" ladybug (it had a piece of sand under it's shell and couldn't close properly) so Tyler had Papa "surgerize" it so it could fly again.

Caleb got some super sweet new shades for our outing but unfortunately experienced some ocular sensitivity due to the sunscreen in his eyes (sorry about that buddy) and spent most of his time on the boat eating chips.

Once his eyes started feeling a little better he went "surfing" for the first time and I must say, he was actually pretty good...

We Are So Excited For Summer!

Time passes so quickly!

Wow, time passes so quickly! We all got a
case of Strep throat that really kept us
down for a while (me more so than the boys)
Even tho they were sick too, Tyler and Caleb were so helpful and took such good care of me... They would bring me things to make me more comfortable like a blanket or water or food… I am truly blessed to have such amazing little angels!

As the time passes quickly my babies are turning into little men right before my eyes… They have been going down to the creek by themselves to play with neighborhood kids. They are LOVING the independence, and I am very excited to see them off exploring on their own. I'm not gonna lie, it's a little scary. I thought Tyler was missing one day and I completely panicked (thanks for rescuing me Alisa!) All was well, he was just wandering around the neighborhood picking flowers and collecting rocks...
Grandma and Papa went to Australia and brought them home some leather "cowboy" hats with real crocodile teeth in them! So now when they go to the creek the look like real buckaroos! Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention the boomerangs! I warned them, if they kill any animals with the boomerangs - they're eating them!

The other good news in our house is that Caleb has decided that he is going to start playing the violin again! He decided to stop for a while, but has realized that he really enjoys playing it... Get his authograph now, cuz he's gonna be famous!
